Fixed Price   -   a flat pricing option set for a specified period of time and for a specific volume for both the commodity and transportation components. 
This product is beneficial for customers looking to have price certainty to accomplish budget objectives, and to reduce exposure to rising prices and volatile energy markets.

Fixed Basis plus NYMEX  -   a fixed transportation component for a specified period and volume, combined with a floating NYMEX (commodity portion) which will settle on a monthly interval according to the New York Mercantile Exchange’s Natural Gas (NG) contract settlement price.  An additional feature to this product is the allowance of a NYMEX trigger (ability to lock-in the commodity price based on the current market, prior to the monthly settlement).
   
This product offers the flexibility for customers who wish to set below- market commodity price targets that may be possible over time, allowing for participation in possible declining markets, or to just accept the default price to align with a more-relative market trend.  PPL will provide helpful  insight in to the markets when setting trigger objectives.

Indexed Products  -   a published price based on a survey for a relative delivery location. The published price will occur daily or monthly depending on the named source. The Index product may be converted to a Fixed Price or Fixed Basis plus NYMEX for forward months.
 
Indexed price types are typical for incremental supply requirements, or for uncertain usage schedules.  An Index is an “after the fact” type of product and is generally the most accurate representation of the current market.  There is a low degree of price certainty, and increased exposure to volatility with this product. 

Caps and Collars  -   are pricing strategy extensions of an existing supply agreement with the goal of allowing market participation, with measured risk in exchange for a minimal premium (usually built into the scope of  a larger transaction).  A Cap establishes an upside limit (ceiling) that will not be exceeded, but allows for downside market participation.  A collar has a cap element, but adds a downside limit (floor) to essentially establish a bandwidth for participation in the market.  In each case, these options allow the possibility of enhanced market opportunities, with a moderate measure for controlling risk.
   
These product options are generally elected as a compliment to one of our more standard product, and serve to further delineate the customer’s market risk profile.

Alternate Fuels and Dual-Fuel Opportunities  -   PPL EnergyPlus can provide alternate fuels to replace the higher-price commodity when the opportunity is present in the market.  We also offer Recall Incentives that can be structured into a transaction upfront, or leave exposure to market open to potentially capture more value as extreme market conditions evolve.
