PPL Corp. Ranked in the Top Ten of the Americas’ Electric Utilities in The 2008 Platts Top 250 Global Energy Company Rankings

PPL Corp. was recently named as a Platts Top 250 Global Energy Company for 2008 and ranked in the top 10 for overall performance among energy companies in the Americas region.

Platts also analyzed energy companies by nine industry classifications in three global regions. PPL Corp. ranked 30 in Electric Utilities globally and 10 in Electric Utilities in the Americas region. The underlying data came from Compustat® — a database compiled and maintained by Standard & Poor's, which, like Platts, is a division of The McGraw-Hill Companies.
